The Court of Arbitration for Sport confirmed the FEI Tribunal's decision after appeals regarding the US rider's abuse of horses while using electric spurs.

As well as horse abuse, the US rider is found to have brought the sport into disrepute and committed criminal acts under Swiss law.
The US Jumping athlete has also been disqualified from eight events in 2018 and 2019 for using electric spurs on his horses.
In an unusual move, the FEI has provisionally suspended the US rider prior to a final Tribunal decision regarding alleged use of shock spurs.
