The following riders have been named by Jump Canada to represent Canada in Nations’ Cup competition at the FEI Promotional League Nations’ Cup Final at CSIO5* Barcelona, to be held in Barcelona, ESP, September 20-23, 2012. Making her Nations’ Cup debut, Courtney Vince will replace Eric Lamaze.
Jonathan Asselin, 53, of Calgary, AB, will ride Showgirl, a 12 year-old Selle Francais mare owned by Attache Stables.
Lisa Carlsen, 47, of Spruce Grove, AB, will ride La Boom, a 13 year old Oldenburg gelding owned by La Boom Syndicate.
Tiffany Foster will ride Southwind VDL, a 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Tiffany Foster and Artisan Farms LLC; Whitney, a nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare owned by Artisan Farms LLC and Torrey Pines Stable; and Luikka, an 10-year-old Anglo-European mare also owned by Torrey Pines Stable and Artisan Farms LLC.
Courtney Vince, 33, formerly of Schomberg, ON, and now residing in Lasne, Belgium. Vince will ride Valetto JX, a 10-year-old Scottish Sport Horse gelding owned by Ashford Farm, and Loro Piana Ballyleck Royale, a nine-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding owned by Allo’ Giuseppe.
Mark Laskin will serve as chef d’équipe for the Team.

A Nations’ Cup is the only competition in show jumping where riders, in teams of four, compete as a country. The top three scores from each team are counted towards the final result of the two-round competition.
