Fifty years ago, the Parc Équestre Olympique Bromont in Bromont, Canada hosted the equestrian disciplines for the 1976 Montreal Olympics. Fifty years later, the historic venue celebrates this milestone anniversary with the MARS Bromont CCI, a world-class FEI eventing competition featuring levels from CCI2*-L through CCI4*-L. A strong field of over 70 entries representing seven nations will take part in this 50th Anniversary competition June 4-7.
The Olympic passion runs deep within this year’s MARS Bromont field, with five Olympians entered to compete across divisions. Athletes who competed at the most recent summer Olympics in 2024 (Paris) include Canadian Jessica Phoenix, and Americans Boyd Martin (FEI Eventing World #5) and Caroline Pamukcu (FEI Eventing World #17).
Previous Olympians include the USA’s Lauren Nicholson (Rio – 2016) and Phillip Dutton, a six-time Olympic athlete, as well as Dunham, Quebec’s Colleen Loach (Rio – 2016 and Tokyo – 2020). Adding depth to the field are several athletes who have represented their countries in FEI World Championship competition or the Pan American Games, including Lynn Symansky (World Equestrian Games – 2014 and 2018), Ariel Grald (World Championships – 2022), Sharon White (Pan American Games – 2023), and Canada’s Waylon Roberts (Pan American Games – 2007 and 2015). The seven countries being represented this weekend include Australia, Canada, France, Colombia, Great Britain, Japan and the United States. Entries/live scoring in all divisions here.
Eventing competition at the MARS Bromont CCI is widely recognized as a world class challenge for athletes and horses aspiring to compete at the top levels of the sport and on the championship stage. Bromont is proud to work with renowned cross-country course designers Derek di Grazia of the USA (Olympic course designer for Tokyo 2020) as well as Canada’s Jay Hambly. Additionally, as a part of an ongoing dedication to the development of the next generation of athletes, the MARS Bromont Rising program offers selected riders under the age of 25 financial assistance to compete as well as a full slate of educational activities over the week designed to produce a well-rounded athlete.
