In the May Longines FEI Jumping Rankings  Tiffany Foster is now listed as the highest-ranked Canadian and top female rider in the world, moving into 33rd spot. Erynn Ballard started the year as the top-ranked female rider in the world in 29th position and is now the 3rd-ranked female in 36th. The only other women in the top 50 are currently Malin Baryard-Johnsson of Sweden (34th) and Laura Kraut of the USA (39th).

Foster was recently a member of the 5th-place Nations Cup team in Rome and the 4th-place team in the Nations Cup of Canada at tbird. Points earned in competition in May include the CSIO5* Rome (150) with Figor and Northern Light; Kentucky Spring Horse Show in Lexington (40) riding Brighton; and the Nations Cup in La Baule, France (70), also with Figor.

She commented to Horse Sport, “This has always been a goal of mine, so I am very happy to have achieved it. Our sport is so special because we do not have separate rankings and compete on equal ground against men, but it’s still a nice thing to be able to say I have done in my life (for one month at least!) Now the goal is to keep moving up the rankings :)”

Originally hailing from North Vancouver, BC, Foster now splits her time competing out of bases in
Langley, BC, Wellington, Florida and Antwerp, Belgium. Visit her website here.
