Nominations have officially opened for the Equestrian Canada (EC) National Coaching Awards, and will remain open until Feb. 28, 2019.
The EC National Coaching Awards recognize coaches and instructors from all disciplines and contexts who exemplify the coaching and teaching practices of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
The Canadian equestrian community is encouraged to submit nominees to their respective Provincial/Territorial Sport Organization (PTSO), outlining the coach’s contribution to equestrian sport, whether their students are active in competitive sport or recreation.
Nominations are welcomed for the following awards:
- Coach Developer of the Year: recognizing an outstanding Coach Developer for their promotion, growth and development of EC’s NCCP programs.
- Community Coach of the Year: recognizing a current and active certified EC NCCP instructor or coach working with entry level athletes.
- Competitive Coach of the Year: recognizing a current and active certified EC NCCP instructor or coach working with competitive athletes.
Full descriptions of each award and nomination forms can be found here.
Please note that completed nomination forms should be sent directly to the appropriate PTSO (not to EC).
PTSOs will review nominations and select two recipients per category to forward to EC, who will then review the PTSO nominations and select the award winners. EC and the PTSOs will arrange an appropriate location or event for each recipient to receive the award.
