Equestrian Canada (EC) extends heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the late Conrad Laurin of Laval, QC, who passed away due to cancer on April 1, 2018 at the age of 84.

Laurin was one of ECโ€™s longest-running officials. He joined EC in 1981, and soon received his certification as a Hunter, Hunter Seat Equitation and Jumper Judge, and as a Steward in all disciplines. In 2009, Laurin brought his skills to the international stage and became an FEI 2* Jumping Steward.

Laurin was an instrumental figure in the equestrian industry on a regional level in his native Quebec, as well as at the national level. He was a familiar face in Blainville, QC, where he officiated at countless shows over several decades โ€“ starting with the 1991 Coup des Amรฉriques de Blainville, and continuing through to the end of the 2017 season.
