Kim Farlinger Stables, a successful A circuit show and sales barn, is relocating from the Ottawa area to Newmarket, ON. The full-service hunter/jumper stable will continue to offer training, showing and horse sales while providing a welcoming atmosphere for clients of all levels.
The new location is set on a picturesque 89 acre property located just north of Toronto, ON. It boasts a big, bright indoor arena with state of the art footing, an outdoor ring with all-weather footing, and a grass grand prix field with natural obstacles. The barn features rubber matted stalls and aisles, wash stalls with heat lamps, and a heated viewing lounge. 24 hour on-site staff will also give horse owners peace of mind that their equine athletes are well cared for.
Kim Farlinger, 27, has enjoyed tremendous results in the grand prix ring, as well as with numerous young horses that are beginning their competitive careers. In 2003, she won the Individual Gold Medal at the North American Junior Young Riders’ Championship. The following year, she made her Grand Prix debut and, after a culmination of successes, including Reserve Canadian Champion at Toronto’s prestigious Royal Horse Show, was named to the Canadian Show Jumping Team short list. Farlinger has since gone on to develop many grand prix mounts that have enjoyed success throughout North America.
Farlinger has continued to make a name for herself as not only an exceptional rider but a talented coach. After more than six years of operating in the Ottawa area along with co-owner Terri Brent, Farlinger is looking forward to relocating to Newmarket.
“This is a really exciting opportunity for us,” said Farlinger. “Not only does the move allow me to be closer to my family, but the new facility is gorgeous. It’s not too big, which is perfect for what we want. We believe in quality over quantity, which allows us to really focus on the individual needs of students and horses.”
Terri Brent, who originates from the Toronto area, has spent years working in the horse industry, offering a strong set of skills that has greatly contributed to the success of Kim Farlinger Stables.
“The move is a positive step in the continued success of our business,” said Brent. “We are really looking forward to bringing in some new horses and working with a group of goal-oriented clientele. We are also thrilled that several of our existing clients have decided to make the move with us. It really gives you a sense of pride when students believe in you and your training program so much that they would rather move than find another trainer locally.”
Kim Farlinger Stables provides a friendly training environment. A full range of services will be offered at the new location in Newmarket, including showing and training for horses and riders of all levels, as well as a proven sales program.
