There was a standing ovation for the high-priced top foal in Vechta: For Diamond, by For Romance I – Diamond Hit – Landadel, bred by Dr. Rolf-Peter Schulze from Tiddische, shook the newly-renovated auction hall in Vechta and set the stage for an exciting bidding duel. The stallion prospect was sold for a record-breaking price of 181,000 euros to first-time American clients and the stallion station Bachl. Diamond Lady, his dam, is the sister of the licensed Charme and Lord of Loxley, who has had Grand Prix success with Hans Peter Minderhoud, NED, and has already produced two six-figure top foals: Floral Hit by Florenz in 2016 and For Austria by For Romance I in 2017.
The charming Supernova, by San Amour I – Hotline – Sandro Hit, bred by Gestüt Lewitz in Mühlen and exhibited by Flicka Ventures GmbH, Berlin, changed hands for a top price of 300,000 euros and will be heading to regular clients, the Equium Team from Spain.. Supernova is a sister to the licensed Grand Prix winner Ferrari OLD by Foundation/Rudolf Widmann. Granddam Satida is the sister of the European Championship participant and Grand Prix winner Lollipop by Lord Sinclair/Emile Faurie, GBR.
The top price among the show jumping horses, 85,000 euros, was achieved by the beautiful Hickstead’s Lady by Hickstead White – Sandokan LGST – Diarado, bred by Manfred Vogt from Leinefeld. She will be the partner of a young rider in a show jumping stable in Lower Saxony. Great-granddam Comtessa is the sister of the licensed Carebis by Calido I, as well as the 1.40 m-successful Calida/Michael Zwingmann and Little Queen/Nadja Rath.
A special highlight of the 102nd Fall Elite Auction was the gala evening held on Friday in the newly-renovated auction hall, featuring impressive performances and musical highlights.
As the auction wrapped up, nine riding horses will soon be heading to Oldenburg clients abroad: Spain (3), Hungary (2), Great Britain (1), Korea (1), the USA (1), and the United Arab Emirates (1). In the foal collection, nearly half of the young Oldenburg talents were sold to international friends. They found new homes in Canada (4), Belgium (3), the Netherlands (3), the USA (2), Great Britain (1), Italy (1), Austria (1), Spain (1), and the United Arab Emirates (1). The top Canadian purchase in the foal collection was Estefan (Excalibur – De Niro – Florencio I) who fetched €28,000.
The average price of the outstanding riding horse collection settled at over 36,250 euros, with a total turnover of 1,087,500 euros. The foals achieved an average price of over 16,300 euros and a total turnover of 636,000 euros.
