Jumping: Kent Farrington starts 2026 as world #1
Kent Farrington (USA) starts the new year at the top of the Longines Rankings, followed by Great Britain’s Scott Brash, while Germany’s Christian Kukuk remains in the top three. Ben Maher (GBR), Gilles Thomas (BEL), Richard Vogel (GER) and Laura Kraut (USA) round out the top seven.
France’s emerging talent Nina Mallevaey has broken into the Top 10 of the Longines Rankings for the first time in her professional career. Her consistency during 2025 has propelled her to the elite of international Jumping and the last month of December she has been competing in Thermal (USA), where she delivered several top-five performances. Mallevaey, who recently turned 26, has ended the year as FEI Jumping U25 Ranking number one, and now also sits in eighth position in the Longines Rankings.
Canadian Erynn Ballard has improved from 54th to 40th, while Kara Chad continues to nudge toward the top-100, currently in 108th place.
League of Nations: USA’s remains world leader
It’s been a year since Team USA took the top position of the Longines League of Nations™ ranking. Belgium is second, followed by France, Ireland and Germany. Canada remains in 12th spot.
Dressage: Justin Verboomen and Zonik Plus continue reign
Five months after climbing to the top, Justin Verboomen (BEL) remains number one in the world ranking, as does his nine-year-old black stallion Zonik Plus. In second position lies now Great Britain’s Becky Moody, after climbing two spots, followed by Isabell Werth (GER). Charlotte Fry (GBR) climbs one spot to reach the fourth place, while her fellow countryman Carl Hester makes it back to the top five.
For Canada, Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu has made a remarkable leap up the standings from 184th to 36th (!!) thanks to her ever-improving 12-year-old grand prix partner Jaccardo, owned by Jill Irving.
Para-Dressage: Howard, Reilly and Team USA in the lead
Fiona Howard (USA) and Team USA maintain the top spot in both Individual and Team rankings. Sara Morganti (ITA) and Rixt van der Horst (NED) remain second and third. Italy and Germany are second and third respectively in the Team ranking. Top Canadian is still Roberta Sheffield, 45th; as a team, Canada is still in 20th place.
Eventing: Harry Meade holds the crown
Harry Meade (GBR) maintains the top position in the World ranking for the eighth consecutive month, followed by USA’s Boyd Martin. Current European Champion Laura Collett (GBR) maintains third place, followed by Tim Price (NZL) and Rosalind Canter (GBR).
The positions of the two top-ranked Canadians remain unchanged as the season prepares to get underway: Jessica Phoenix sits 46th and Waylon Roberts is 88th.
Driving: New year, same leaders
The leaders of the FEI Driving World Rankings Four-in-Hand, Pairs and Singles are the same at the start of the new year. In the Four-in-Hand division, reigning World Champion Boyd Exell (AUS) continues to dominate, while Stan van Eijk (NED) remains at the top of the Pairs category. In Singles, France’s Marion Vignaud leads the pack; Canada’s Kelly Bruder remains 4th.
