Friday – Grand Prix
The 2026 Bromont Fall Classic CDI launched into action Friday at the iconic Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park, with Olympian Tom Dvorak capturing the CDI3* Grand Prix aboard Sue Schramayr’s Hernando, a 2012 KWPN gelding by Bretton Woods, scoring 66.304%. Edward Ewbank (NZL) with his own Damsel BFF (2014 Hanoverian mare by Donarweiss GGF) placed second with a personal best score of 63.522%.
Quebec’s Béatrice Boucher, a bronze team medallist at the most recent Pan American Games (Santiago 2023), followed with a victory of her own, taking the CDI1* Prix St. Georges with 69.902% aboard Mystery, a 2017 KWPN mare by Indian Rock, owned by Camille Carier Bergeron and Gilles Bergeron.
In the CDI1* Prix St. Georges, Beatrice Boucher and Mystery, who made their CDI debut earlier this year in Becancour, Québec, obtained a score of 69.902% from the panel of three judges. Boucher, a bronze team medallist at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, rode the 2017 KWPN mare by Indian Rock, owned by Camille Carier Bergeron and Gilles Bergeron. The second-placed horse/rider combination, Vicky Chrétien and her own 2017 Dutch Warmblood gelding Must B a Dream, by Glock’s Dream Boy, followed with 68.235%.

Saturday – Grand Prix Special
The 2026 Bromont Fall Classic CDI held at the Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park concluded its second day with the victory of Tom Dvorak (ON) aboard Hernando in the CDI3* Grand Prix Special. Quebec’s Vicky Chretien and Must B a Dream signed their first CDI victory in the CDI1* Intermediate I.
Dvorak concluded Hernando’s participation in the Bromont CDI3* with two wins. He is also currently leading the Open fourth level division in the gold competition with two wins with Bugatti Veyron, a 2016 chestnut Mecklenburger owned by Jeanette Nucifora.

In the CDI1* Intermediate 1, Vicky Chretien and Must B a Dream, who are currently participating in their third CDI competition, obtained a score of 67.892% from the panel of three judges. They were followed closely at 67.206% by Tom Dovrak and Feinrich, a 2013 Oldenburg stallion by Fürst Heinrich owned by David Burke.
The Bromont Olympic Park paid tribute to Francine Bell Shorr, a respected Quebec rider and judge whose lasting contribution to the sport touched generations of athletes, officials and members of the community as a commemorative cocktail reception was held on Saturday on the terrace of the Desourdy Pavilion, bringing the dressage community together to celebrate her life and legacy.
Sunday – Grand Prix Freestyle
The 2026 Bromont Fall Classic CDI concluded Sunday with Edward Ewbank (NZL) and Damsel BFF taking the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle, the final performance of the event. The final day brought three days of international dressage competition in Bromont to a close, with athletes from Canada and abroad competing across the CDI divisions.
In the CDI1* Intermediate 1 Freestyle, Quebec’s Vicky Chretien and her Must B a Dream obtained a score of 72.992%. With this result, the pair claimed their second victory at the Bromont Fall Classic CDI 2026.
Isla Grant and Wonder Woman placed first in the CDICh FEI Children’s Preliminary B test with a personal best score of 70.429%.
The Bronze division riders selected to represent the Association équestre régionale de l’Estrie team will return to Bromont from September 25-27 for the next stage of their competition season. They will be joined by teams representing other regional associations, with the riders competing as teams throughout the event for the title of Regional Champion in dressage, hunter, jumper, equitation and eventing derby.
The Gold division riders will next set their sights on Bécancour (Québec), where they will be joined by other riders from across Eastern Canada for the second edition of the EC National Dressage and Para Dressage Championships – East Division. The championships will take place in Bécancour during the first weekend of October, bringing together athletes from across the region for the next major competition of the season and where the national champions will be crowned.
