international equestrian center (pbiec) in wellington, fl. the esp fall finale was the fifth of seven shows in the esp fall series, which runs october 1 through november 15. course designer, hector loyola, set the track for a total of 26 competitors, with only four pairs returning for the second round. tyree and bec lorenzo, owned by catherine tyree llc, flew through the jump-off in 43.117 seconds to claim the win and were one of only two duos to clear the jump-off. “i have such a naturally quick horse, and we’ve done a lot of jump-offs together, so i knew i could trust his big stride and call on him a bit,” tyree said of her 10-year-old irish sport horse gelding (livello x guidam). “the best thing about him is that he’s so eager to do a good job. going to the combination, i saw my of lake forest, il piloted mustique vz, owned by always faithful equine llc, to a second-place victory with a jump-off time of 43.826 seconds. ansgar holtgers jr. of wellington, fl, piloted elina, owned by gut einhaus, llc, to victory in the $2,500 nal low junior/amateur-owner jumper classic after completing the jump-off round in 43.612 seconds. lacy morrone cramer of wellington, fl, clinched the red ribbon with equi-sport, llc’s cincinnati after a 45.851-second jump-off effort. holtgers also claimed the yellow ribbon after completing the jump-off in 46.143 seconds with the gut einhaus, llc-owned alfonsine manciaise. over in the mogavero ring, the $250 cctv agent.85m classic saw lucy rappoport of surfside, fl, and gabriella curry’s coco cilla take home top honors after in 35 seconds. second place was awarded to athena lekkas of palm beach gardens, fl and caton, owned by bernardo tosto, for their 36.47-second jump-off, while sadie remington of loxahatchee, fl and her samuel received the yellow ribbon after completing the jump-off in 39.83 seconds with four faults. the $925 children’s/adult jumper classic presented by score at the top awarded alexa curry of plantation, fl, and her zanziboy first place after completing the jump-off in 35.395 seconds. carlota goyeneche of key biscayne, fl piloted peter lloyd’s aruba isf through the jump-off in 37.092 seconds to claim second place, while perla boord of key biscayne, fl rode isaura, owned by moira maclean, through the jump-off timers in 37.656 seconds to earn third place. on friday, andrew welles of wellington, fl, was awarded the blue ribbon in the $10,000 bainbridge companies 1.40m open stake after completing the short course in 35.976 seconds with brindis bogibo, owned by itasca group llc. bryn sadler piloted cinven cr, owned by showcase 81 llc, to a second-place finish with a time of 38.394 seconds. santiago lambre of wellington, fl and his cetano van aspergem z cleared the jump-off in 39.432 seconds to earn a spot on the podium. rebecca conway of wellington, fl, earned top honors in thursday’s $5,000 1.35m open stake presented by joe dimaggio children’s health specialty center with con coleur, owned by blue hill farm, llc, after completing the jump-off in 44.946 seconds with four faults. conway also claimed the red rosette with stakkatisa, owned by hbc sport horses, with a jump-off time of 46.685 seconds and four faults. vanessa hood rode fairytale 86 to a third-place finish with a 48.527-second jump-off and four faults. hunter champions. jennifer speisman of boca raton, fl, claimed top honors in the children’s/adult amateur hunter division presented by resilient fitness with her own totality, while tracy scheriff-muser of palm beach gardens, fl and diana callahan’s hommage de luxe finished in reserve. the amateur-owner/junior hunter 3’3” and 3’6” division presented by #1 education place awarded the champion ribbon to cece williamson of gordonsville, va, and her entry hideaway. isabel beltran of jupiter, fl and sazerac, owned by imb of jupiter llc, claimed reserve champion. another highlight of the week was saturday’s halloween costume class which took place in the rost ring. prizes and candy were awarded to all participants. the esp fall series continues november 5-8 at the main grounds of pbiec with the esp november show, with “a” rated and jumper 4* national Catherine Tyree of Chicago, IL, and BEC Lorenzo closed out the ESP Fall Finale on Sunday, November 1, with a win in the feature class, the $25,000 Osphos Grand Prix. The week marked the return of competition to the main grounds of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) in Wellington, FL. The ESP Fall Finale was the fifth of seven shows in the ESP Fall Series, which runs October 1 through November 15.

Course designer, Hector Loyola, set the track for a total of 26 competitors, with only four pairs returning for the second round. Tyree and BEC Lorenzo, owned by Catherine Tyree LLC, flew through the jump-off in 43.117 seconds to claim the win and were one of only two duos to clear the jump-off.

“I have such a naturally quick horse, and we’ve done a lot of jump-offs together, so I knew I could trust his big stride and call on him a bit,” Tyree said of her 10-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding (Livello x Guidam). “The best thing about him is that he’s so eager to do a good job. Going to the combination, I saw my distance and zeroed in on it. On a less experienced horse, I maybe would have stayed out for another stride, but he was right there with me.”

Completing another clear round in 44.524 seconds for second place were Jenna Friedman of Morriston, FL and Shai Tertner’s Tycoon D’Argences. Heather Williams of Saugerties, NY and Marie VD Mespel Z, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Caristo, were third with a time of 47.325 seconds and four faults.

“So far, so good,” Tyree noted of her first appearance in the Grand Prix ring after a minor injury that kept her from competing for six weeks. She concluded, “It feels nice to be back, and Lorenzo felt great and was fresh and excited. We’re ready to get things going!”

Jumper Highlights

Later in the day, the Equiline High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic awarded Luiza Leivas da Costa of Boca Raton, FL and Analtyse Ste Hermelle, owned by Bonne Chance Farm LLC, the blue ribbon after clearing the jump-off in 48.475 seconds. Alexandra Welles of Wellington, FL piloted Andrew Welles’ Conquista D’Oz through the course in 85.22 seconds with four faults to claim second place, while Bryn Sadler of Ocala, FL finished the course in 87.2 seconds with four faults aboard Cliff Affair, owned by Showcase 81 LLC.

The $1,950 Equiline Medium Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic saw Vanessa Hood of Wellington, FL, bookend the podium. Hood claimed the blue ribbon aboard Take Two LLC’s Fairytale 86 after a 40.864-second jump-off and received the yellow ribbon with a jump-off time of 45.176 seconds aboard Lou Lou VLS, owned by Take Two LLC. Charlise Casas of Lake Forest, IL piloted Mustique VZ, owned by Always Faithful Equine LLC, to a second-place victory with a jump-off time of 43.826 seconds.

Ansgar Holtgers Jr. of Wellington, FL, piloted Elina, owned by Gut Einhaus, LLC, to victory in the $2,500 NAL Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic after completing the jump-off round in 43.612 seconds. Lacy Morrone Cramer of Wellington, FL, clinched the red ribbon with Equi-Sport, LLC’s Cincinnati after a 45.851-second jump-off effort. Holtgers also claimed the yellow ribbon after completing the jump-off in 46.143 seconds with the Gut Einhaus, LLC-owned Alfonsine Manciaise.

Over in the Mogavero Ring, the $250 CCTV Agent .85m Classic saw Lucy Rappoport of Surfside, FL, and Gabriella Curry’s Coco Cilla take home top honors after in 35 seconds. Second place was awarded to Athena Lekkas of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Caton, owned by Bernardo Tosto, for their 36.47-second jump-off, while Sadie Remington of Loxahatchee, FL and her Samuel received the yellow ribbon after completing the jump-off in 39.83 seconds with four faults.

The $925 Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic presented by Score At The Top awarded Alexa Curry of Plantation, FL, and her Zanziboy first place after completing the jump-off in 35.395 seconds. Carlota Goyeneche of Key Biscayne, FL piloted Peter Lloyd’s Aruba ISF through the jump-off in 37.092 seconds to claim second place, while Perla Boord of Key Biscayne, FL rode Isaura, owned by Moira Maclean, through the jump-off timers in 37.656 seconds to earn third place.

On Friday, Andrew Welles of Wellington, FL, was awarded the blue ribbon in the $10,000 Bainbridge Companies 1.40m Open Stake after completing the short course in 35.976 seconds with Brindis Bogibo, owned by Itasca Group LLC. Bryn Sadler piloted Cinven CR, owned by Showcase 81 LLC, to a second-place finish with a time of 38.394 seconds. Santiago Lambre of Wellington, FL and his Cetano Van Aspergem Z cleared the jump-off in 39.432 seconds to earn a spot on the podium.

Rebecca Conway of Wellington, FL, earned top honors in Thursday’s $5,000 1.35m Open Stake presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Health Specialty Center with Con Coleur, owned by Blue Hill Farm, LLC, after completing the jump-off in 44.946 seconds with four faults. Conway also claimed the red rosette with Stakkatisa, owned by HBC Sport Horses, with a jump-off time of 46.685 seconds and four faults. Vanessa Hood rode Fairytale 86 to a third-place finish with a 48.527-second jump-off and four faults.

Hunter Champions

Jennifer Speisman of Boca Raton, FL, claimed top honors in the Children’s/Adult Amateur Hunter division presented by Resilient Fitness with her own Totality, while Tracy Scheriff-Muser of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Diana Callahan’s Hommage De Luxe finished in reserve.

The Amateur-Owner/Junior Hunter 3’3” and 3’6” division presented by #1 Education Place awarded the champion ribbon to Cece Williamson of Gordonsville, VA, and her entry Hideaway. Isabel Beltran of Jupiter, FL and Sazerac, owned by IMB of Jupiter LLC, claimed reserve champion.

Another highlight of the week was Saturday’s Halloween Costume Class which took place in the Rost Ring. Prizes and candy were awarded to all participants.
