Equestrian Canada is excited to announce a partnership with Ride iQ, the innovative app redefining how equestrians train and learn. This collaboration brings exclusive, adaptive educational content and on-demand coaching resources to the Para Dressage community, making world-class training more accessible than ever.
Ride iQ is a mobile app offering listen-while-you-ride audio lessons created by top equestrian coaches from around the world. With over 500 lessons and an extensive library of exclusive podcast episodes, Ride iQ supports athletes of all levels and disciplines. The app’s mission is to eliminate “mindless rides” by providing structured guidance, skill-building, and confidence-enhancing content tailored to each ride.
Through this partnership, Para Dressage athletes will enjoy access to engaging audio lessons and podcasts, right at their fingertips. Highlights include expert-led sessions with Clive Milkins, the technical advisor for the Canadian Para Dressage program, as well as Para Dressage test ‘ride-alongs’ by Olympic bronze medalist Gina Smith. Gina’s ride-alongs allow athletes to follow along in real time, immersing them in the test pattern for a unique and practical learning experience.
“Our goal is to provide Para Dressage athletes with tools that are accessible, flexible, and tailored to their needs,” said McKinsey Lux, co-founder of Ride iQ. “By partnering with coaches like Clive and Gina, we’re committed to delivering world-class coaching in a way that empowers athletes at every level. This is just the beginning of a journey to enhance and elevate Para Dressage through tech-enabled education.”
As part of this partnership, Ride iQ is offering an exclusive six-week free membership to the Canadian Para Dressage community. To redeem, reach out to Jamie-Ann Goodfellow, program coordinator Para Dressage at jgoodfellow@equestrian.ca for the membership code. This offer is available through December 30, 2024.
In addition, Para Dressage NTP athletes will also receive a 40% discount on annual Ride iQ memberships, making this premium platform even more accessible.
“Equestrian Canada is excited to see this partnership with Ride iQ come to life,” said Christine Peters, senior manager, Dressage Olympic/Paralympic Program at Equestrian Canada. “This collaboration offers our para dressage athletes the opportunity to start an exciting new journey through the use of innovative, technology-driving education which is accessible and adaptive. We can’t wait to see how these exclusive lessons and coaching tools empower athletes to achieve their goals and take their skills to the next level. This is just the beginning of our build towards Los Angeles, we are very proud to be a partner with Ride iQ.”
This partnership represents a significant step forward in inclusive training for Para Dressage athletes, setting a new standard for educational support in equestrian sports.
