It is with deep sadness that we announce that Jaeda, a 13-year-old mare ridden by Booli Selmayr and owned by Kelly Morgan, died while competing on cross country in the CCI3* at Bromont, Canada at midday on Saturday 10 June 2017. The rider was unhurt.

Update:  On June 10th at approximately 11:50am local time Jaeda, a 13-year- old mare ridden by Booli Selmayr and owned by Kelly Morgan, died between obstacles 13AB and 14 while competing on cross country in the CCI3* at Bromont, Canada. The post mortem diagnosis of an acute diaphragmatic hernia was made by the Faculté de médecine vétérinaire St-Hyacinthe. An injury of this type could not have been foreseen and is very uncommon in equestrian sport.
