Equine Canada (EC) is pleased to announce that Terrance Millar of Mono, ON has been appointed Team Leader of the Canadian Equestrian Team (CET) for the 2016 Rio Olympics, taking place Aug. 5-21, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, BRA.

As Team Leader, Millar will provide overall leadership to the CET during the 2016 Rio Olympics, and will act as the Team Liaison between the CET and the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC). He will also work closely with CET operations and communications management to help ensure Team Canada has world-class support during the Games, allowing athletes to focus on performance and prepare to give their all while competing on the world stage.

Millar has been a pillar in Canadian equestrian sport for more than four decades. A decorated athlete, Millar represented the Canadian Show Jumping Team at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics and the 1972 Munich Olympics. He is also a three-time Pan American Games medalist, bringing home Team Gold and Individual Bronze in 1971, and Team Silver in 1983.
