Belgian rider Pieter Devos, riding Jade V.Bisschop, took the lead in the Hyundai Cup of the City of Barcelona, the closing competition of the second day of CSIO Barcelona.

The best 11 riders of the first round, had to compete in a second round to grab the victory. Devos, with a clear round, was the fastest rider with 52,8 seconds, repeating his last victory on the same competition two years ago. 15 hundredths away from the winner, the Italian rider Emilio Bicocchi riding Evita SG Z reached the second place. To complete the podium: the German rider Christian Ahlmann with Take a Chance On Me Z. None of the Spanish riders reached the second round, although the best classified was Jesús Torres (Orphée du Breche), in fourteenth place.

The Queen’s Cup-Segura Trophy will open the third day of CSIO Barcelona at 2pm on the Olympic arena of the Real Club de Polo, and it will end with the Longines Challenge Cup at 9pm.
