About Sarah Rodger
FEI 5* Para-Dressage Judge, Sarah Rodger (GBR) began riding as a child in Pony Club, and regularly hunted. While working for dressage legend, Ferdi Eilberg, she competed in eventing up to the advanced level until an injury in 1985 resulted in paraplegia.
Encouraged and inspired by world-renowned dressage judge, Stephen Clarke (GBR) to become involved in judging and coaching, Rodger became a British Dressage Judge in 1987. In 1993, she became an FEI International Para-Dressage Judge, and was promoted to the 5* level in 1996. During a judging career that has spanned three decades, she has been fortunate to judge at numerous major games, including three Paralympic Games and four World Equestrian Games.
Rodger has also coached all levels in a variety of disciplines, including eventing, show jumping, dressage and driving. She finds great satisfaction in watching her students enjoy improving their abilities and progressing with their horse beyond their initial expectations.
