Horse-Canada.com is pleased to welcome Pam Asheton, and her new blog, “A Real Western Challenge.”
Asheton, of Cochrane, Alberta, was chosen to compete in the North American Horsewoman’s Challenge – one of three Canadian trainers accepted into the formerly all American event – the finals of which will be held in October in Oklahoma.
In early May, Asheton brought home a young “wildie colt,” captured in Alberta’s 2014 wild horse cull, and the two began their partnership. The six-month challenge asks competitors to train a “green broke” horse in the areas of Cowboy Dressage, Ranch and Trail Versatility and Liberty.
Follow along at www.horsesport.com/a-real-western-challenge as Asheton and “It’s All Good” get to know each other.
