Equestrian Canada (EC) is pleased to announce the athletes who will represent the red and white in the CDIO 3* and CDIO-U25 Nations Cup, taking place March 11-15, 2020, during the 10th week of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) in Wellington, FL.

Both veteran and up-and-coming Canadian athletes will compete against elite dressage athletes from around the world in a unique, team-based setting. The Canadian Dressage Team for the Stillpoint Farm FEI Nations Cup CDIO 3* will be:


The 2020 Canadian team is full of Nations Cup experience: Kellock was on the silver medal team in 2019; Fraser-Beaulieu and Lane were on the 2018 silver medal team; and Lane is additionally the proud owner of 2017 team and individual gold and 2016 silver team medals. As a part of the CDIO-U25 team, Moreira Laliberté won team silver in 2019 and team bronze in 2018.

Taking on the Chef d’Équipe role to support the Canadian Dressage Team on the ground will be Christine Peters, EC Senior Manager Dressage, Olympic/Paralympic Program.

First launched in 2017, the CDIO-U25 Nations Cup will return at AGDF 10, providing athletes under the age of 25 with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the team format. Team Canada will be composed of the following youth riders:


Tanya Strasser Shostak of Sainte-Adèle, QC, will also compete in the CDIO-U25 Nations Cup as an individual with Evi Strasser’s Renaissance Tyme. Blais Tétreault and Strasser Shostak were on the 2019 silver medal team with Moreira Laliberté. They each have additional bronze team medals under their belts, Blais Tétreault’s from 2018 and Strasser Shostak’s from 2017.

Wendy Christoff of Delta, BC, who is an EC certified High Performance 1 Dressage Coach, will be Chef d’Équipe for Team Canada 1, while Peters will act as Chef d’Équipe for Team Canada 2.
