According to the Qualification procedures of each discipline – FEI Regulations for Equestrian Events at the Olympic Games, 22nd Edition, effective for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games (Hong Kong). National Federations have until 30 May to confirm their participation.

TEAM (16 NOCs will be qualified to take part with a team consisting of 4 riders and 4 horses or 3 riders and 3 horses as follows):
