International stables shopping at Sale of the Rising Stars

More and more international stables have discovered what is for sale at Sale of the Rising Stars. Young, quality showjumping horses, expertly trained, that can soon move on to international level. Earlier auctioned horses are proving themselves world-wide and this new group of auctioned showjumping horses from auction organizer Teus van den Brink is bound to do the same. On Friday night at Jumping Zwolle the foreigners managed to claim the better part of the horses.

The auction started with the sale of the bronze statue, for which Enda Carrol from Ashford Farm made the winning bid of 4,000 euro, this sum going to the Prinses Maxima Centrum for child oncology. The public was ‘warmed up’ and five of the eleven horses went for 50,000 euro and more. The embryo of Chacco Blue x Cassini I was knocked down for 19,000 euro.

Juliaminka GP

The Irish Grand Prix showjumping rider Carl Hanley made the winning bid of 75,000 euro for the highly talented 5-yr-old Juliaminka GP (Bernini x Warrant) who will give him a lot of pleasure in all respects. She is a superbly jumping chestnut mare which appears to have everything to be expected of a modern sport horse.

New ‘Chaperon’

The Twents lady rider Kirsten Rikkert (26), who booked many successes with the SOTRS auction horse Chaperon and even trained him to 1.50m level, will provide a stable for a new ‘Chaperon’. Her father bought Jadebridge (Dexter R x Solitair) for 70,000 euro. A great and uncomplicated 5-yr-old gelding with a powerful jump, who already showed that he feels at home in the international showjumping ring.

Great Britain

The British Bournehill Stables were also there again. They put down 65,000 euro for Krystal VDB (by Cicero Z Van Pamel) bred by Teus van den Brink himself, Kristallic SMH (by Cornet Obolensky) for 50,000 euro and the only 3-yr-old Le Conte (by Grandorado TN) for 60,000 euro. “These are another one of these professional stables. The horses they bought earlier are doing great and therefore they have a lot of confidence in us”, says Teus van den Brink.

K.Amelusina (by Emir R) and Jubilant (by Vivant van de Heffinck) will leave for the USA. The British stables Lambley House from Michael and Zoe Potter were shopping here for the first time and took Katania (by Mylord Carthago) home with them.

Enjoyable

I am totally content”, says Teus van den Brink after the event. “Great to see some more new clients and great that the horses have found fantastic stables. I was already enjoying the proceedings during the presentation of the horses. They were jumping so well, confidently and relaxed, in spite of their tender ages. We had them trained in a fair manner and we demonstrated that here. The compliments we received were great for us, but also for the rest of the team. What you see is what you get. With horses like these you can get on as a rider. I am sure of that.”
