Ottawa, Ontario— Equine Canada proudly announces that the inaugural recipient of the Equine Canada Sponsor of the Year is BFL Canada.
This new award proudly recognizes a sponsor that has demonstrated long-term commitment to Equine Canada and its membership.
Since 1998, BFL Canada has been in partnership with Equine Canada, sponsoring the annual Equine Canada Volunteer of the Year award, and the BFL Canada Hospitality Suite at the Equine Canada Annual Convention.
Even prior to a formal partnership with Equine Canada, BFL Canada insured all the Canadian Equestrian Team horses traveling as members of Olympic and Pan American Games for no charge.
Equine Canada Sport Licence holders traveling outside of Canada can also purchase the always popular BFL Canada travel coverage and accident insurance, protecting themselves and their health when outside of Canada.
“Most of us at BFL Canada have come from the horse industry, so we are giving back to something we all love,” said Jackie Wedley, vice president and associate of BFL Canada. “Equine Canada gives the Canadian horse community so much in return.”
At the Equine Canada Annual Awards Gala, on Saturday February 7, 2009, in Ottawa, ON, Jackie Wedley and Daniel Mooney of BFL Canada were awarded the inaugural Equine Canada Sponsor of the Year Award by Equine Canada manager of marketing and communications, Cheryl Tataryn.
