Ottawa, ON —Ian Millar, of Perth, ON, finished in third place and Eric Lamaze, of Schomberg, ON, placed fourth in the 50,000 euro Grand Prix of Lummen held Sunday, May 4, during the CSIO 5* Lummen in Belgium.

With 83 entries in the two-round show jumping competition which featured obstacles set at the maximum height of 1.60m, Millar and Lamaze were among the 12 riders who were able to complete both rounds fault-free.  Advancing to the jump-off, Millar riding Redefin, a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Susan Grange and Lothlorien Farm, were again clear in a time of 36.61 seconds to place third.  Lamaze and Hickstead, a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion owned by Torrey Pines Stables and Ashland Stables, also jumped clear to finish just behind Millar in fourth with a time of 37.06 seconds.

With the winning time of 36.11 seconds, victory went to Willem Greve of Holland riding City Cargo Perpetua.  In second place, with a time of 36.54, was Piergorgio Bucci of Italy riding Da Zarra Porto Rico.
