Join Spruce Meadows for an exciting and fun-filled event where young hobby horse enthusiasts can come together to celebrate their passion. Whether seasoned hobby horse rider or new to the hobby, there’s something for everyone. This unique and entertaining jumping competition for kids will take place during major tournaments:

‘Masters’ | Hobby Horse Championship – September 12 & 13, 2026 – Entries not yet open
The 2026 Hobby Horse Challenge is open to children aged 8-16. Participants will get the chance to showcase their skills and creativity as they navigate a specially designed course on hobby horses. In order to compete, you must:
- Bring Your Own Hobby Horse
- Purchase a brand-new one at the Spruce Meadows shop
- Lease with LeMieux (no charge for entrants, but limited quantities)
Registration: is $15 (+ GST) per competition (maximum of 9 competitions per competitor). Admission to the grounds is complimentary for the entrant and one guest. Ribbons will be awarded for placings up to 6th place for both the 8-11 and 12-16 age divisions, with special prizes from LeMieux for those placing 1st through 3rd for all divisions.
