As the result of a sponsorship conflict, the FEI Nations Cup originally set to take place at the Winter Equestrian Festival, March 3-8, 2015 in Wellington, Florida, will now be run by HITS in Ocala, Florida.
The Ocala Winter Festival has been sanctioned by the FEI as a CSIO-4* event and will be held February 10-15, at HITS Post Time Farm. It will feature the $200,000 CSIO Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup on February 13th, sponsored by Longines.
Equestrian Sport Productions will still run a $100,000 FEI Nations Cup competition on February 27th, but it will not be a qualifier for the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup series final, due to the Winter Equestrian Festival’s long time sponsorship agreement with Rolex.
The FEI has allowed the Winter Equestrian Festival to run a Nations Cup competition under the Furusiyya title alone, excluding Longines. For 2015, however, Longines has activated their sponsorship contract with the FEI, resulting in the change of venue.
Spanning five days, the Ocala Winter Festival will host several high performance classes in the FEI Jumper Division in addition to the Nations Cup. Highlights include the $34,000 FEI Jumper Prix February 12th and the $150,000 Ocala Grand Prix on February 15th.
