Jumping: Kent Farrington consolidates top spot
One month after reaching the top, Kent Farrington (USA) has consolidated his position as jumping world number one. Behind Farrington, Ben Maher (GBR), Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) and Christian Kukuk (GER) repeat in second, third and fourth positions respectively. USA’s McLain Ward closes the top five after climbing from eighth position.
Top-100 Canadians remain Erynn Ballard, slipping from 32nd to 42nd, while Tiffany Foster drops slightly from 39th to 43rd.
Longines League of Nations: Brazil reaches top 10
For the fifth consecutive month, USA maintains its position as leader of the Longines League of Nations™ ranking. But Ireland has reduced the gap and remains close to the leaders, while France, Germany, Belgium and Great Britain remain third, fourth fifth and sixth respectively. Netherlands is now seventh after surpassing Switzerland, while Italy remains in ninth position. The 10th and last qualifying spot is now Brazil’s after surpassing Sweden.
Dressage: Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour, Mount St John Freestyle solid leaders
Denmark’s Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour remains leader of the FEI Dressage World Ranking, three months after reaching the top. Great Britain’s Charlotte Fry remains in second position, followed by Isabell Werth (GER), who is third. Laudrup-Dufour’s mare Mount St John Freestyle remains the leader of the world rankings for horses, closely followed by Glamourdale and Jagerbomb .
Camille Carier Bergeron is the only Canadian currently in the top 100, dropping from 60th to 83rd place. It is interesting to note that Alexandra Duncan, previously unranked in the CDI3* and above category, has now landed in 127th spot thanks to some good grand prix results with Hitmaker.
Para-Dressage: USA dominance continues
Team USA are leading the way in the Para Dressage Rankings: Fiona Howard and Team USA maintain the top spot in both Individual and Team rankings. Sara Morganti (ITA) remains in second position, while Rixt van der Horst Hart from The Netherlands is now third. Team Netherlands and Team Germany are second and third, respectively.
Canada as a team remains in 15th place. Roberta Sheffield continues to improve her position from 26th to 23rd, while Jody Schloss is now 68th. Austen Burns, who had been in 29th place but has not competed in any FEI events since the Paris Olympics, has now slipped out of the top 100 to 112th.
Eventing: Harry Meade rises to number one
Great Britain’s dominance in the FEI Eventing World Athlete Ranking has returned only one month after Boyd Martin (USA) reached the top of the ranking. The new leader is Harry Meade; Tom McEwen (GBR) remains second, followed by compatriot Rosalind Canter in third. New Zealand’s Tim Price remains fourth ahead of former number one, Boyd Martin, who drops to fifth place.
For Canada, Jessica Phoenix continues her climb, edging from from 39th to 36th place and continues her charge with excellent finishes this spring.
Driving: Martin Hölle new leader in Pairs
Martin Hölle (HUN) is the new leader of the FEI Driving World Ranking – Pairs after surpassing long-term leader Dennis Schneiders (GER). The top positions in the FEI Driving World Rankings Four-in-Hand and Singles remain unchanged, with reigning World Champion Boyd Exell (AUS) continuing to dominate the former and Marion Vignaud (FRA) the latter.
Two Canadians in the Four-in-Hand category, Gerben and Jordan Steenbeek, are 54th and 59th, respectively. Top-100 Canadians in the Singles category are Kelly Bruder (9th) and Carole Precious (46th).
