Ottawa, Ontario—The greater Toronto area (Golden Horseshoe) is considering making a bid for the 2015 Pan Am Games. The province of Ontario is undertaking a feasibility study that includes looking at venues for the sports involved.
Ontario equestrian facilities are invited to send in applications to be considered. It is preferable that all three Olympic disciplines be at one site; however, trucking horses to a near by cross-country course has been accepted in previous bids.
An Equine Canada review committee will forward, to the Ontario Government, all expressions of interest from venues seen to have the appropriate facilities, logistics, management and history, with an emphasis on providing the equestrian community with a lasting legacy.
