Eleven Teams Set for UAE Nations’ Cup

Eleven nations will be sending teams to the first United Arab Emirates CSIO, Febuary 3rd-6th. The five star show, which will be held in the Ghantoot Polo Club, offers a total of 500,000 Euro in prize money and has attracted some of the world’s best riders.

The teams include Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Holland and Sweden. Championship representatives such as Rolf Goran Bengsston (2008 Olympic Silver medallist) and Juan Carlos Garcia (2009 Team Silver show jumping and Team Bronze eventing) will be participating. The British team includes Olympians Ben Maher and Robert Smith and amongst the individual riders is current World Champion Jos Lansink and Clarissa Crotta, a member of Switzerland’s reigning European Champion team.

World class course designer Olaf Petersen has been appointed to make sure such a high class field is appropriately tested.
