Canadian breeder Estelle Motta has acquired the 11-year-old KWPN stallion Feel Good (by Contango out of Vamora x OO Seven) who was bred by Paardencentrum De Dalhoeve in Ommeren, NED.

Motta, of Stella Rossa Dressage in Mirabel, QC, told Horse Sport, “I am very proud of the arrival of my new stallion Feel Good. I chose this stallion in the first place by the strength of his pedigree, because he contains great names who have proven their abilities over time, including Contango, Rubenstein, Saluut and more. I particularly like a stallion who has as much dressage as jumpers in his bloodlines to give his offspring power and elegance while being efficient.”

Motta earned the distinction of 2018 Canadian Breeder of the Year after selling her home-bred five-year-old Oldenburg stallion Total Star (Totilas x Donner Bube) to Dutch Olympian, Edward Gal.

Marlou de Ruyter, De Dalhoeve’s stable rider who rode the stallion at the Small Tour level, wrote on Facebook, “So grateful for the beautiful years I was allowed to ride with this stallion! A horse with an absolute top character … I knew for a while that he would go to a new owner. I hope you enjoy him as much as I did.”

Motta added that Feel Good will alternate breeding duties with competing at the Prix St Georges and Intermediaire 1 level with Laurence Migner.

This lovely boy will join the stallion band at Stella Rossa Farm, which includes Holunder (Hofrat x Dimaggio) “and another which will arrive shortly by Bonds (Benicio / Sir Donnerhall x Foundation).”

Motta added some other good news: “And the most exciting, we are looking forward to the arrival of a foal by Glock’s Zonick x Glock’s Trafalgar, which will be kept as a possible stallion.”
