Ottawa, Ontario – Dressage Canada is pleased to announce that CBC Country Canada is the recipient of the inaugural Dressage Canada Media Award of Excellence in recognition of their outstanding television coverage of the 2006 World Equestrian Games (WEG) held in Aachen, Germany.
CBC Country Canada’s Assistant General Manager, Jane Fairly and Executive Producer, Francis Litzinger were in attendance to receive this award at the Dressage Canada reception held November 9 at the Royal Horse Show in Toronto, ON.
“Dressage was a major part of the World Equestrian Games and it was our pleasure to put them in the spotlight,” commented Fairly. “We had a very dynamic team in Producer/Director Robert MacAskill, Lead Commentator Nancy Wetmore, and Dressage Commentator Cara Whitham. We are very pleased with what they accomplished and the response we received from the coverage.”
