Captain Mark Phillips is set to divorce his second wife, Sandy (nee Pflueger), after starting a relationship with US show jumper, Lauren Hough.
Capt. Phillips, 63, became close to Hough, 35, through his work with the US Eventing Team. He has served as team trainer for 20 years, but will be leaving his post after acting as chef d’equipe at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Reportedly, Hough will travel to the Games with Capt. Phillips, and help coach the US eventers in stadium jumping.
The new couple is said to be looking for a home together in Florida.
