In a philanthropic gesture of private, non-corporate, giving, the Horne Family Charitable Foundation has generously agreed to support the Canadian Eventing Team in the amount of $30,000 divided equally over the next three years. This funding will be earmarked for the national team’s needs-most specifically to augment the integrated support team for the World Equestrian Games, Pan American Games and Olympics. This generosity will be formally recognized as the Horne Family Charitable Foundation Recognition of International Support.

“These much appreciated and needed funds will be directed to supporting the team infrastructure when it is needed the most,” said Graeme Thom, chef d’équipe. “The Horne Family has strong Canadian roots from Caledon, ON. The entire Horne family represent a unity of horsemanship and international competitive spirit, and they have expanded these characteristics into a philanthropic show of goodwill.”

“There is no doubt that our riders and horses need the best assistance that we can provide at major games,” added Clayton Fredericks, International Technical Advisor to the Canadian Eventing Team. “It truly is a team endeavour and the veterinary, farrier and physiotherapy elements all contribute towards competitive advantage.”

The Horne Family Charitable Foundation and the Canadian Eventing Team invite any persons or corporations to match or contribute to this endeavour, with a target goal of $100,000 per annum, and thank everyone in advance for their interest.
