Rockwood, Ontario – A $7,500 Open Jumper division, Presented by System Fencing and Seegmiller Construction, will be the main attraction when Angelstone Farms of Rockwood, ON, hosts a two-day jumping competition on Saturday and Sunday, May 8 and 9, 2010.
Held on the new grass field and featuring decorative jumps provided by Brody Robertson, the two-day competition at Angelstone Farms will consist of four classes each day. The daily schedule will see the 1.00m class held at 10 a.m. sharp, followed by the 1.10m class at 12 noon and the 1.20m class at 2 p.m. On Saturday, the competition day will conclude with a $2,500 1.25m Open Jumper while Sunday’s grand finale is the $5,000 1.30m Open Jumper.
Entry fees for all classes are only $25 per horse. No other fees will be charged.
The purpose of the two-day competition, held at the newly developed Angelstone Farms facility, is to provide an affordable way for owners and riders to develop horses, including young prospects, at a very low cost.
“Over the past few years, a major concern that has been raised is the cost of developing horses, especially young horses,” said 2008 Canadian Show Jumping Champion Keean White of Angelstone Farms. “In an effort to be part of the solution, we have developed this idea in the hopes that it will grow into something we can all benefit from in the future. Based on the success of our first initiative in 2009 and the positive response we received, we have expanded on the idea for 2010.”
All competitors are invited to attend a live music concert and barbeque on Saturday, May 8, beginning at 6 p.m. Drinks are complimentary throughout both competition days while food is available on-site.
Angelstone Farms wishes to thank its leading sponsors, Seegmiller Construction, System Fencing and Angelstone Productions, as well as more than 30 other sponsors for their support.
