Thirty-two-year-old eventer Jennifer “Jeffie” Chapin was killed in a rotational fall during the cross-country warm-up at Green Mountain Association’s Festival of Eventing in Vermont, on August 11th.
According to a release from the United States Eventing Association, Chapin, from Wenham, Massachusetts, was transported to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
Her horse, Joinem, a 12-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, was uninjured in the fall.
