Please be advised that the following sections of the Equestrian Canada (EC) Rules have been amended through the Extraordinary Rule Amendment (ERA) process, effective immediately:

Noteworthy updates and changes are outlined below.
SECTION A: GENERAL REGULATIONS
Article A907 – Electronic Communication Devices
Article A907 was updated for horse and rider safety and to align with the changes to FEI General Regulations Article 140 Paragraph 3 and to support the changes made in EC Rules Section G: Hunter, Jumper, Equitation and Hack.
SECTION B: BREEDS
Article B302 Country Pleasure – Paragraph 1b
Article B3153 Ranch Horse Trail Walk-Trot 10 & Under Course Information – Paragraphs 3c and 3e – FRENCH VERSION ONLY
Article B302 paragraph 1b was updated to align with the updated Country Pleasure shoeing rule put in place by the American Saddlebred Association.
Article B3153, paragraphs 3c and 3e were amended to correct French translations that had been inadvertently omitted.
SECTION E: DRESSAGE AND PARA DRESSAGE
Article E4.3.2 – Double Bridle – Paragraph 2 – FRENCH VERSION ONLY
Chapter 15 – Officials – Article Numbers ONLY
Article E4.3.2 paragraph 2 was updated in the French version only to correct the word must to may regarding curb chain covers/padding.
Chapter 15, article numbers 4 through 15 were updated to correct article numbers ONLY.

Articles G103, G114, G201, G502. G1001 and Annex 1 were amended for rider safety and clarification for alignment with updated FEI rules.
Articles G1101 and G1108 were amended to correct French translations that had been inadvertently omitted.
Article G1102 was amended for rider safety to include that Peacock Quick Release Stirrups are prohibited to match G202 and G1005 as this update was inadvertently omitted.
Annex 1 Paragraph 2.1.e was amened to correct the FEI Article reference from 201.5.2 to 242.4.7.
