The Quebec rider rode Chacco Mio Al Khair Z to victory in a 9-horse jumpoff in the $15,000 Julia MacAngus Memorial Grand Prix.

The Russell native took the season opening grand prix at the Ottawa venue with the only double-clear effort in a three-horse jump-off.
