Equestrian Canada (EC) is now accepting applications from individuals interested in volunteering on EC’s National Coaching Committee.
The National Coaching Committee is responsible for providing program recommendations concerning new or amended National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) policies, procedures and programs, and to work collaboratively with EC staff to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the program.
The Committee shall also advise EC management on the annual program priorities and strategies relating to the National Coaching program in Canada, and will serve as a key conduit between the EC national office, the Provincial/Territorial Sport Organizations (PTSOs), and other EC committees, taskforces, and working groups as required.
Individuals interested in volunteering as a member of the EC National Coaching Committee are invited to apply. Applications should include:
- An expression of interest letter, including your vision for the program and details on the contributions you wish to make in order to improve the program.
- A brief bio outlining your experience as an educator and/or coach/trainer in equestrian sport, your understanding of the purpose and importance of the national coaching program, and any relevant coaching certifications and designations.
The Committee will be comprised of a maximum of nine (9) individuals and must include the following:
- A Master Coach Evaluator
- Two (2) PTSO administrators
- Representatives nominated from EC’s equestrian sport disciplines
