The BC Horse Racing Industry Management Committee met on February 11th in Vancouver to discuss funding arrangements among the three principal participants in the industry – the track operator Great Canadian Gaming Corp., the Thoroughbred sector and the Standardbred sector.
The Committee feels significant progress was made toward a feasible working model for the industry for 2014 and beyond. Industry participants intend to discuss the required elements of such a model over the next several days, and the Committee plans to reconvene before the end of the week to try to finalize arrangements.
