Equine Canada (EC) is excited to announce the official launch of the $20.14 for 2014 campaign.
This innovative campaign allows Canadians to feel like they are part of the Canadian Equestrian Team (CET) by directly supporting them on their journey to the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) in Normandy, FRA.
Donations of $20.14 can be conveniently made online through the EC website. Visitors to the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair can make a donation in person by visiting the EC booth in Hall A of the Direct Energy Centre in Exhibition Place. Donation receipts are available upon request.
By giving this nominal donation, CET supporters and horse enthusiasts can band together and be part of the excitement and help the CET achieve their goal of standing on the podium at WEG 2014.
All of the funds raised will be applied toward offsetting the cost of sending Canada’s world-class equine and human athletes to one of the biggest and most illustrious competitions in equestrian sport.
“The excitement is building as our athletes, both riders and horses are getting closer to the 2014 World Equestrian Games that will be held in Normandy next year and Equine Canada is stepping up the preparation for what has become the largest equestrian event held only every 4 years. Our Canadian Equestrian Team has legitimate aspirations to perform well on the world stage and we want to support them in every way we can. This “$20.14 for 2014″ drive is an important part of our commitment and it gives the entire Canadian equestrian community an opportunity to express their support. This fundraising drive will help the athletes from all the disciplines achieve their goals and make us proud,” stated Jean Christophe Gandubert, Chief Executive Officer Equine Canada
WEG features eight FEI disciplines: dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, jumping, para-equestrian, reining, and vaulting. Historically, Canada has achieved great success at these championships. At the last games in 2010 in Kentucky, the CET earned two individual bronze medals in jumping and reining, and one team silver medal in eventing.
By participating in $20.14 for 2014 Canada’s equestrian community can have a direct impact in helping their athletes find even greater success at the 2014 edition of WEG.
