Chatsworth Horse Trials, slated for May 11-13, has been cancelled due to extremely wet weather.
Following the cancellation of the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials last weekend, this is of particular concern to Great Britain’s Olympic hopefuls looking to secure a spot at the Games. William Fox-Pitt, Mary King, Piggy French and Nicola Wilson were among the entries for Chatsworth’s CIC 3* World Cup competition this weekend. In addition, Zara Phillips, Lucy Wiegersma, Tina Cook, Oliver Townend and Sarah Cohen were planning to compete at Chatsworth.
Officials are seeking alternative qualifying events before the country’s Olympic team is announced on May 24th.
