Sorry it took so long to let you know that show jumping didn’t go as planned. 😉 However ,Woody and I did survive the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games! I had 16 faults for knocking 4 jumps down. Don’t get me wrong, I was in good company. It was the most electric ring I’ve ever been in and Woody took it all in stride. Unfortunately, the distances were very tight and that doesn’t suit my Woody. If I had the chance to try again I would try leaving strides out. But who knows he was tired like all the rest of the horses from a ridiculous cross country course so he may have just jumped flat if I’d tried that and hit them just the same?

As it stands I am truly grateful for the opportunity to ride for Canada yet again in a world games on a fabulous horse with wonderful owners supported by an incredible team. I am going to miss my team more than words can express!

I’m enjoying day days with my family in England before heading home to hold down the fort until mum gets back from Burghley and Blenheim.

It was a 12 hour journey for me from France to Warwick, England (I arrived at 5:30 a.m. UK time). I will eat chocolate, fish and chips, drink Pims and be merry until I go home and give Woody the love and mints he deserves for being the best horse in the world (in my eyes). 😉
