Looks like Woody was sleepy too!
Friday was a challenge due to being exhausted! Arrived early morning at Heathrow. Waited for my bag for ages. Was worrying because I remember I checked in seven hours prior to flight. It did finally arrive. Phew!
I went out to the Costa coffee shop and met up with Max Corcoran, the team’s stable manager, where we waited a few hours for Hawley’s flight to land around 11:30 a.m.
Once we were all reunited, off we went to find our rental car. That took another hour!
Off we tootled to Maizey Manor and met up with Colleen Loach, Peter Barry’s groom, at the stable. We set up the water buckets etc. ready for the horses to arrive at 1:00 a.m. on August 16th. Ugh!
Thank goodness for our wonderful grooms!
Horses and people arrived safe and sound.
