Monday is a hard day to blog if you are living here at Balsam Hall. My big excitement of the day is to go to physiotherapy…sigh. Selena, however, has a busy day every day and today is no exception.
As soon as the sun was high enough to be safe, she took Zephyr cross country schooling at Longwood. Riley got jumped in the morning. The other horses all had to be worked then Selena and Woody off to Clayton’s at 4:00 p.m. for a lesson. Back home, pack for Red Hills and get Woody ready for the Ocala Horse Properties Nations Cup tomorrow. I have taken the afternoon to myself and I am going to sit and watch the entire thing on the livestream. I am really looking forward to watching all my friends in Ocala strut their stuff. I wish all the shows had live stream, it’s so exciting, but then I guess nobody would ever get anything done in the winter. They would be watching the fun in the sun.
We have an exciting new sponsor that we will be announcing soon. It all started with me looking for a nice cosy blanket for Rummy to wear at night in Florida. They still need a heavy blanket at night even although they get to winter in Ocala and the one Rummy had been wearing since he arrive was too old and patched for our brand new horsey. As a result, I was combing the internet looking at all sorts of different blankets, necks and hoods. A really nice blanket caught my eye on eBay and after I checked out all the specs I decided to give it a go. I had it sent straight to Florida so that it would be there to meet him when he arrived. The only thing I wasn’t sure about was the colour. It said on the advert that it was ‘Cherry Red.’ There was a photo of a very attractive grey who suited Cherry Red prancing in the snow, which also looked really good with the Cherry Red….but what was it going to look like on a bay! GORGEOUS is the answer, absolutely gorgeous. Anne Marie tried it on Solo as soon as it arrived (The blanket arrived in Ocala before Rummy) and we were all really pleased with the weight, quality and fit. So…wait until you hear who is partnering with us. It’s very exciting!
