I’m writing about the whole weekend not just a day.
Saturday was rainy for most of the day. I got in two early rides before the rain started. Then I ran some errands which included picking up Thunders NEW bridle at the Tack Shack of Ocala. It’s a very beautiful black bridle to go with her black Voltaire dressage saddle. The pair are going to look so smart at Rocking Horse Spring which is their next event together.
I also picked up baby gift bag and card of congrats for Buck & Andrea’s baby girl Aubrey. Mum bought her a fantastic pink pony Carharts outfit and mailed it to me to deliver. Later that day Bruce had Woody and I for a dressage school. We worked outside the ring on suppleness and extended trot. Then I went into the ring and practiced my test for the upcoming event in North Carolina with Bruce’s eagle eye on our performance. We are improving steadily, should be brilliant soon!
Sunday we all jumped in the morning together. Angie, Anne Marie and myself on Zephyr. Always a fun way to start the day. They were all super!
Then we finished up the rest of the horses early including Sammy who came for me to jump school as a prep for Rocking Horse Spring which will be his next event. King Brian is still on the wait list for Carolinas, it doesn’t look like he is going to get in. His Mummy went out and bought him a nice Shires outfit so that he will match with the gang. He is happy to model for us.
In the evening we all wet to dinner at Olive Garden (one of my favuorites) for an early birthday dinner. Jessica Pheonix and her wonderful husband Joel met us there with her two kids and awesome groom Sandra. As did Lee and her dad Stephen with Anne Marie and Angie. Megan Woods sat next to me on one side and Brian Leith on the other. It was a night full of laughs and good food. Then they brought out a birthday pie (mixed berries) because I’m weird and I don’t like cake or ice cream. It had happy birthday Selena written on it candles and all!
Everyone sang happy birthday. Literally a minute later they brought out ANOTHER birthday cake. It was called a Chantilly cake….mmmmm…thin white cake layers of fresh berries and MORE candles to blow out.
I’m so spoiled I love it! Can’t thank everyone enough for their birthday wishes. I hope all mine come true!
