Just a quick note to let y’all know that for the next two weeks I will be posting daily either on this blog or on my Canadian blog Straight-Up from the center of our sporting universe, the London Olympics. I will board a Virgin Atlantic flight this evening (I do hope the ‘virgin’ doesn’t mean this will be the plane’s maiden flight), arriving bleary eyed and unbushy tailed at Heathrow tomorrow, along with about half the world’s population. I’m not sure why I thought it was a good idea to fly in on the day of the opening ceremonies, especially since past experience has placed Heathrow on my top ten three list of airports to avoid, even on a quiet non-Olympic day; but I don’t want to miss a single minute of the breathtaking excitement at the Eventing Dressage, which starts at 10 am Saturday.
I also want to let you know that I have a special treat in store for this blog during the XXX Olympiad. I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but check in on the weekend to see some super awesome and entertaining video.
