Cassio Rivetti of Palm Beach, FL raced to a 39.893-second jump-off finish aboard Sloan Lindeman-Barnett’s Bacara D’Archonfosse to win Sunday’s $25,000 Ultima Fitness National Grand Prix to conclude the 2019 ESP Holiday I competition. Taking home second place was Taylor Land of Newnan, GA and Liroy 30, owned by Pinetree Farms Inc., after completing the jump-off in 40.477 seconds. Erynn Ballard of Canada rode Emma Waldfogel’s Diableur through the jump-off timers in 42.335 seconds to claim the yellow rosette.

Thirty-four horse-and-rider combinations attempted the first round, designed by Guierme Jorge of Brazil, with only four returning for the jump-off. Rivetti explained that his focus this week was to “put her [Bacara D’Archonfosse] in form” for the upcoming WEF season. “She did the World Cup in California, so this week we jumped a smaller class. The plan is to compete in the Nations Cup here for the Brazilian team and then maybe the Olympics,” Rivetti concluded.
