Cassio Rivetti of Palm Beach, FL raced to a 39.893-second jump-off finish aboard Sloan Lindeman-Barnett’s Bacara D’Archonfosse to win Sunday’s $25,000 Ultima Fitness National Grand Prix to conclude the 2019 ESP Holiday I competition. Taking home second place was Taylor Land of Newnan, GA and Liroy 30, owned by Pinetree Farms Inc., after completing the jump-off in 40.477 seconds. Erynn Ballard of Canada rode Emma Waldfogel’s Diableur through the jump-off timers in 42.335 seconds to claim the yellow rosette.
Thirty-four horse-and-rider combinations attempted the first round, designed by Guierme Jorge of Brazil, with only four returning for the jump-off. Rivetti explained that his focus this week was to “put her [Bacara D’Archonfosse] in form” for the upcoming WEF season. “She did the World Cup in California, so this week we jumped a smaller class. The plan is to compete in the Nations Cup here for the Brazilian team and then maybe the Olympics,” Rivetti concluded.

Jonathon Millar of Canada piloted Wyndmont’s Valinkski S to win the $10,000 Triple Crown Open Stake after completing the jump-off in 34.304 seconds on Friday. Capt. Brian Cournane of Wellington, FL rode Glenbeigh Farm LLC’s Colourful Lady to a second-place finish after clearing the short course in 36.004 seconds, while Chris Ewanouski of Wellington, FL and Vagabon de La Vallee, owned by Chris Ewanowski & Cavalli Reale Stables, took third with a jump-off time of 37.051 seconds.
Olivia Sweetnam of Wellington, FL and Sweet Oak Farm’s Serendipity secured first place in the $250 CCTV Agent .85m Classic after being the only horse-and-rider pair to go clear in the first round. Janet van der Slice of Royal Palm Beach, FL piloted her own entry, Tatabra Phoebe to a second-place finish with a first round time of 77.702 seconds and four faults, while Bridget Lee of Coral Gables, FL and her Love Me BD took home third after stopping the first-round clock at 84.742 seconds with 10 faults.
The $5,000 Joe DiMaggio Children’s Health Specialty Center 1.35m Jumper Stake saw Erynn Ballard of Canada win the blue rosette aboard Harvester, owned by Ilan Ferder and Skymaster, after flying through the timers at 35.43 seconds. Stella Manship of Brewster, NY piloted Elan Farm’s Dundalk to a second-place finish with a jump-off time of 39.191, while Kevin Mealiff of Ireland claimed third place with Morris Horta, owned by Maarten Huygens, after a 40.147-second jump-off time.
Mattie Hatcher of Little Rock, AR and her Sebastian won the $2,500 Equiline High Junior/Amateur Owner Jumper Classic after clearing the short course in 32.306 seconds. Catherine Kubiak of Lake Forest, IL piloted Somerset, owned by Over Fences Farm LLC, through the jump-off in 36.535 seconds to clinch a second-place victory, while Sabrina Lefebvre of Canada rounded out the top three with a jump-off time of 37.435 seconds aboard her Alaska.
Sunday’s Semican 1.25m Jumper class saw Christoph Schroeder of Germany and Colleen Levert’s Bugatti Z take home the blue after stopping the timers at 65.554 seconds, while also claiming third place with his own Lucky Charm with a time of 70.526 seconds. Filippo Pignatti of Lake Worth, FL piloted Ideaal Es for Take the High Road LLC to second place with a time of 69.779 seconds.
Anna Perlow of Hampton Bays, NY and First Blue LLC’s Brightly took top honors in the $1,500 M&S Children’s Jumper Classic presented by Score At The Top after their 32.432-second jump-off. Sara J. Pezza of Newburgh, NY piloted Endgame for Elan Farm to a second-place finish after completing the jump-off in 35.93 seconds, while Kathryn McCarthy of New Canaan, CT and her own Foran completed the jump-off in 34.078 seconds, but had four faults added to her score resulting in a third-place finish.
The $1,500 M&S Adult Jumper Classic presented by Score At The Top saw Lindsey Tomeu of Wellington, FL capture both the blue and red rosette aboard DBHC Inc.’s Bonapart and Siboney Ranch’s Colina SN after clearing the jump-off in 32.988 seconds and 37.659 seconds, respectively. Perla Guerra of Key Biscayne, FL claimed third place after stopping the jump-off timers at 38.267 seconds aboard her Charlie XVIII.
Mia Albelo of Coconut Grove, FL and her own Larocque de Revel took top honors in the $2,500 Equiline Low Junior Jumper Classic after their 40.733-second jump-off. Coming in at second place with a time of 41.626 seconds was Jerry Chu of Andovel, MA and Baoma Corp’s Himeros, while Daneli Miron of Delray Beach, FL piloted Miss Lucy HH for Sweet Oak Farm to a third-place finish after completing the jump-off in 46.544 seconds and four faults.
Andrea Hippeau Vogel of New York, NY and her own Idream were victorious in the $2,500 Equiline Medium Junior/Amateur Owner Jumper Classic after a 33.269-second jump-off. Carly Dvorkin of Parkland, FL rode Carlotta 168 for Pine Hollow Farm to a second-place finish with a jump-off time of 34.255 seconds, while Reid Arani of Lexington, KY piloted Islay Jumpers LLC’s Ziezo to third-place honors after completing the jump-off with a time of 34.582 seconds.
Hunter Highlights
Friday’s $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby presented by Ultima Fitness saw Abby Funk of St. George, KS take home top honors aboard MMK Equestrian LLC’s Handwritten after receiving a total score of 176. The red rosette was awarded to Meredith Gallagher of Haines City, FL and Rebel de Vizy, owned by Annette Friend, after receiving a two-round score of 160, while Sarah Livingston of Statesboro, GA and her own Ne-Yo claimed the yellow rosette.
Isabella Roman of East Hampton, NY and Kiely Equestrian LLC’s Cassius Clay claimed champion in The Wanderers Club Pony Hunter division, while Raffaella Agnelli of Coral Gables, FL and her own Hershey’s Kisses were awarded reserve for their efforts.
Winning the WIHS Hunter Phase presented by Score at the Top was Claire Campbell of Cochranville, PA and Cassiko, owned by Maher Family LLC, with a score of 82. Ellie Ferrigno of Newtown, CT took second aboard Cocoluxe for Malibu Valley Farms Inc. with a score of 80, while third place was awarded to Kathryn McCarthy of New Canaan, CT and her Cool de Reve after earning a score of 79.
The M&S Children’s Pony Medal awarded the blue ribbon to Raffaella Agnelli of Coral Gables, FL and her own Hershey’s Kisses for their efforts. Juliette Pletka of Manlius, KY rode Swingtown, owned by Peacock Ridge LLC, to a second-place finish, while Neve Yaari of Plantation, FL piloted her own Dr. Seuss to third-place honors.
Lauren Gee of Valdosta, GA and Eastside, owned by Aquitaine Equine, claimed first place in the WIHS Pony Equitation after receiving a score of 84. Second place was awarded to Katherine Mercer of Wellington, FL and her own Clovermeade Pop Secret after receiving a score of 80, while Olivia Sweetnam of Wellington, FL claimed the yellow rosette aboard Sweet Oak Farm’s On Your Mark after receiving a score of 75.
The Triple Crown Nutrition Green Hunter 3’6” & 3’9” division awarded the champion ribbon to Samantha Schaefer of Westminster, MD and Take 3 LLC’s Trademark, while Maggie Jayne of Elgin, IL piloted Queen Celeste for Pony Lane Farm to reserve.
The $500 Large Pony Hunter Classic saw Lauren Gee of Valdosta, GA return to the winner’s circle with Ava Berman’s Valentino after receiving a total score of 170, while Sterling Malnik of Ocean Ridge, FL and her Prestige received a total score of 165 to secure the red rosette. Lauren Gee also claimed third aboard Hey Scooby, owned by Hagen Blackwell, after earning a total score of 164.
Olivia Sweetnam of Wellington, FL topped the $500 Medium Pony Hunter Classic with Sweet Oak Farm’s On Your Mark after receiving a total score of 164. The red rosette was awarded to Taylor Cawley of Wellington, FL and By4Now for GC Ponies after receiving a total score of 157, while Caroline Olsen of Sherborn, MA piloted Monkey Business LLC’s Anisette to third-place honors with a total score of 152.
Lisa Baugh of Wellington, FL and Mariann Tosi’s Balouette bested the field in the Pure Wellness Adult Amateur Hunter division to take home champion honors, while Jeanine Cash of Winthrop,MA rode Mosaic for Colin Cash to reserve honors.
Campbell Brown of Fayetteville, AR bested the field in the M&S/USEF Pony Medal, taking home top honors with MMK Equestrian LLC’s Sir Dragon. Olympia Boardman of New York, NY took home the red rosette aboard Riveting for Signorino Family Farm LLC, while Lauren Gee of Valdosta, GA and Eastside, owned by Aquitaine Equine, earned third place for their efforts.
The $500 Small Pony Hunter Classic also awarded Campbell Brown of Fayetteville, AR and Sir Dragon, owned by MMK Equestrian LLC, the blue rosette after receiving a total score of 166. Olivia Sweetnam of Wellington, FL piloted Morgan Ward’s Cabana Boy to a second-place finish after earning a total score of 162, while the yellow rosette was claimed by J.J. Torano of Wellington, FL and Jet Show Stables, H.G. Mud Puddles with a total score of 157.
