Exciting news from the Royal Horse Show! We’re thrilled to announce the addition of a new FEI 2* event, featuring two competitions at Royal Agricultural Winter Fair 102, which takes place November 1-10.
These classes, taking the time slots previously occupied by the U25 competitions, aim to broaden participation opportunities for athletes across Canada while showcasing the top U25 talent. By bolstering the U25 program and offering extra competitions for top performers from the Henry Equestrian Canadian Show Jumping Championships, we aim to address national undersubscription in both events. It’s crucial to focus on enhancing quality and fostering increased representation from Western Canada to sustain growth within the Canadian sport pathway program.
The U25 National Champion and Reserve National Champion will now be determined based on placements in the 2* competition. Competitors: stay tuned for full selection and invitation criteria in The Royal Horse Show prize list, available online in July. Remember, U25 athletes must register with EC and submit results through the portal as directed.
