With Fall well underway competition has moved indoors at Spruce Meadows with the $75,000 “Harvest Classic” Tournament. Over the next three days athletes from throughout western North America will be competing in the Spruce Meadows Equi-Plex. The “Harvest Classic” is the first of two indoor tournaments held at Spruce Meadows in October which offer total prize money of $150,000.
Course designer, Anthony D’Ambrosio (USA), will be setting difficult tests for the athletes as competition heats up over the weekend. The final competition of the weekend will be the 1.40 m Richardson Partners Financial Grand-Prix, where the best from the week will look to finish the “Harvest Classic” Tournament with a win to carry valuable momentum into next week’s “Oktoberfest” Tournament.
Today’s feature competition, the $15,000 Pason Cup, is set to begin in the Equi-Plex at 7:00 pm. For show jumping fans it is the perfect opportunity to come and watch some of the best along with stars of the future in an intimate setting.
The “Harvest Classic” Tournament continues in the Spruce Meadows Equi-Plex until Sunday. Parking and admission are complimentary for any public who wish to attend the indoor tournament.
