Spring has arrived at Spruce Meadows and with it green grass, flowers and three new foals to be featured in Name the Foal, presented by TELUS. This year two fillies and one colt will be left unnamed until September allowing fans from coast to coast to be a part of Name the Foal, presented by TELUS.
The Canada-wide Name the Foal, presented by TELUS goes live on June 4th, and will remain open until July 26th, 2019.
Born on March 27, 2019, Foal #1 is a beautiful chestnut filly by Spruce Meadow’s stallion Doremi. She is a friendly and bold foal who will not hesitate to greet new visitors with a friendly nuzzle. She has strong confirmation that is highlighted by four white stockings. Her father competed at top international competitions around the world.
Spruce Meadow’s stallion, Spot Cash, is the father of Foal #2. This flashy filly takes after her dad with a big white face and lovely confirmation. She is still cautious around people but some more time with the other foals will give her confidence to stray away from mom.
The only colt for this years’ Name the Foal presented by TELUS, this little guy took a few extra days to figure out his legs – but you can’t rush mother nature. Born on May 20, 2019, this he is the youngest of the trio but just as feisty. He shares the same father as Foal #1, Doremi.
