Spruce Meadows 2011 “Masters” Charter

The Spruce Meadows “Masters” Charters arrive each September with the best horses in the world.  The largest of four charter aircraft is arriving tomorrow, September 1, at the Calgary International Airport.

There are 70 horses scheduled to arrive on a Boeing 747-400 on Thursday, September 01, 2011 at 1310 hrs.   Media are invited to cover these top international horses arriving in Calgary. 

This year’s passengers include, World, Olympic, and Continental champions from eleven nations.

The arrival of the charter means that the 2011 Spruce Meadows “Champion’s Welcome” and “Masters” Tournaments are only days away.  These horses, along with their riders, will be competing for over $2 million in prize money.
