Spoga Horse Top Innovations 2025

Spoga Horse 2025, the leading innovation trade fair of the international equestrian industry, set new exhibitor and visitor benchmarks and impressively demonstrated its global relevance February 8-10, 2025, in the exhibition halls of Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. Around 440 exhibitors presented innovative products and forward-looking trends, while more than 8,500 trade visitors from 77 countries used the platform to network and transact successful business deals.

An annual feature of the fair is the spoga horse Top Innovations Award, the most prestigious innovation competition in the horse industry. This year, 31 groundbreaking new products and innovations were nominated and honoured, from which five winners (and one special prize) were selected by a top-class jury.

Horse Pilot ‒ E-Twist’Air Airbag
The first cable-free standalone airbag in the equestrian world. An ultra-light, breathable vest with an elegant design; the airbag inflates in 30 milliseconds (twice as fast as a cable airbag) and covers different types of falls, including if the rider is not separated from the horse. An acceleration and rotation sensor up to 1,000 rider position measurements per second.

Amahorse Trading srl ‒ Acavallo AREL-X 180 Stirrups
The Acavallo Rel-X 180 stirrups’ patented system of branch opening and rotation of up to 180° ensures a quick release of the rider’s foot in the event of a fall from the front, back or side. Other features include a stirrup opening up to 180°; shot-blasted aluminum surface; stainless steel pin and internal components; 5° inclined aluminum tread and low weight.

Sueno Pets ‒ 2-in-1 Neck Ring
This neck ring converts into a halter for your horse in just a few seconds. The two soft ropes can be individually adjusted to the horse’s head in the halter function. Available in sizes from mini to cold-blooded horses; ideal for leading in from turnout.

ContiTech Deutschland GmbH ‒ Consteed – the Smart Horse Sneaker
Consteed – the Smart Horse Sneaker is innovatively developed for veterinarians and riders to be used for shod and barefoot horses. The integrated sensor technology from ContiTech analyzes the horse’s musculoskeletal system to gain detailed insights into its health. Monitor data in real time on a smartphone or tablet via the Consteed app; detailed medical analysis options and can be used to support the course of therapy.

These fully breathable brushing boots feature an advanced CoolTech lining that neither transfers nor retains heat while fitting seamlessly to the leg for unbeatable comfort. Testing shows that these boots increase the horse’s normal leg temperature by less than 1°C during exercise, a significant improvement over boots currently on the market.
